During the Micromax event, we could not help but notice this tweet by a Twitter user who posted photos of a new smartphone tagged as the YU6000. While the same was not announced at the event that saw the launch of about 15 new smartphones across categories, many did notice the tweet and now we have news from theMobileIndian that same phablet has already hit retail stores in India.
According to the packaging the phablet is called the Yureka Note. Images of the same are yet to be revealed since the tweet simply contained images of its packaging. The YU6000 sports a 6-inch Full HD display, inside we have a 64-bit, octa-core chipset clocked at 1.5GHz. There’s 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that is expandable via a microSD card slot.
As for the cameras Yu has included a 13MP unit on the back and an 8MP unit on the front. The handset packs in the usual connectivity options including 4G bands with dual SIM slots and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery. The battery also comes with Quick Charging support.
The YU6000 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and also features a fingerprint reader, all of which sounds like a good deal considering its price tag. As of now Yu have not disclosed any details about this mystery handset.
