YouTube gaming app has finally launched in India. While the desktop version of the site was live for sometime now, the company has now launched YouTube gaming app for both Android and iOS users in the country.

Announcing the launch on its Google India blog, Ines Cha, head of YouTube Gaming content & partnerships, Asia Pacific, said, YouTube Gaming is built to be all about your favorite games and gamers, with more videos than anywhere else. We automatically pull in all gaming-related videos and live streams from YouTube to YouTube Gaming. From “Asteroids” to “Zelda,” more than 25,000 games will each have their own page, a single place for all the best videos and live streams about that title. You’ll also find channels from a wide array of game publishers and YouTube creators.”

In August last year, Google ventured into the gaming arena dominated by Amazon-owned Twitch with the launch of YouTube gaming. The rollout of YouTube Gaming marked the public debut of an online venue where video game lovers can find commentary, live play, on-demand snippets and more. An English-language website at was rolled out in countries where YouTube is available.

 On mobile, the service first launched for Android users in UK and US last year.
