Following the arrest of an 18-year-old youth under Section 107/151 (arrest for threat to peace) of CrPC, Patiala senior superintendent of police (SSP) on Wednesday directed Jhulka station house officer to act neutral in the matter. Amandeep Singh, a resident of Faridpur village, was arrested on May 27 when he had gone to the police station to file a complaint against his neighbours for allegedly threatening him and his family.SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan asked Jhulka SHO Gurdeep Singh to act in an impartial manner and register a similar case against Amandeep’s neighbour, Malkit Singh and others.Amandeep alleged that when he had gone to the police station, he was slapped by cops a couple of times and asked to sit in the harsh sun for long.
