Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has expressed his desire to work in a film opposite Deepika Padukone as he feels it would be an “exciting” collaboration. Fawad, 34, made his Bollywood debut with 2014 film
Khoobsurat in which he was paired opposite Sonam Kapoor. He starred in this year’s hit Kapoor & Sons.
The actor is currently shooting Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which also features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor.
“I would be very excited to work with Deepika. It would be an amazing experience. I am very excited and enthusiastic about it. It would be the two right words to describe my feelings about our collaboration,” said Fawad, who walked the ramp along with Deepika at Manish Malhotra’s couture show.
The actor said he admires Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff’s “rockstar” style sense. “I love Jackie Shroff’s style. I always felt that fashion is an attitude, it is how you wear, how you carry. I think he is a rockstar of fashion.”
Buzz says Fawad is in talks for director Nitin Kakkar’s film which will be produced by Salman Khan Films.
“Talks with Fawad are on. He has liked the idea. But he is yet to sign on the dotted line as there are a lot of factors that are to be worked out like money (fee), dates etc. It is a love story,” sources said.Nitin, who helmed Filmistan, is done with the scripting of this film and casting is underway. Besides this film, apparently the Pakistani heartthrob is also being considered for a Zoya Akhtar film.
