A woman has been charged with high-range drink-driving after being pulled over in Sydney’s south west with three children in the car. The 44-year-old driver was stopped after attempting a U-turn on the Hume Highway near Liverpool after 8am on Sunday, police said.

Three children, aged between nine and 11, were also in the vehicle, along with another woman.

Police said the woman blew a breath test reading of 0.183, nearly four times over the legal limit of 0.05, when taken to Liverpool Police Station.

She was charged with high-range drink driving and had her licence suspended.

The driver was given conditional bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 13 July.
