A woman has been arrested over an alleged hit-and-run on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. Police said a 17-year-old boy was standing on the side of Forest Drive in Mount Martha when he was struck by a four-wheel drive at 1:20pm.
The vehicle stopped at the scene but allegedly drove off shortly afterwards.
The boy was airlifted to hospital and was in a critical condition.
Police found the four-wheel-drive several streets away, near a local school, and arrested a 46-year-old Mount Martha woman.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit were interviewing the woman.
