Motorists can expect heavy delays westbound along Hwy. 401 in Mississauga after a truck caught fire early Wednesday morning. Police have re-opened two lanes after the incident closed all lanes of the highway between Hwy. 427 and Renforth Dr. for several hours. According to OPP, a tractor-trailer was carrying peat moss when it collided with a barrier and caught fire near Hwy. 27 around 12:30 a.m.

Firefighters knocked the fire down nearly an hour later. No injuries were reported in the incident.

But a large amount of diesel leaked from the truck, complicating the cleanup.

Crews are still working to get the rest of the lanes open. It is unclear how long it will take.

Police are urging motorists to avoid the area.
