Start the Conversation
To talk to your husband and give him the space to open up is your priority so ensure that you start the conversation instead of waiting for him. Tell him about things you have thought of to bring each other closer. Starting a conversation is one of the most non-threatening ways of putting forth your proposal of building emotional intimacy with your husband.
Share your Secrets about Him
Tell your husband about things that you like the most in him that you have never told him before. Follow the good aspects of him with things about him that annoy you. Once you are done, give him the chance to tell you what he loves and dislikes about you. Do not take offence whenever he talks about your vices. Be as playful and easy-going as possible throughout the discussion. Ensure that your tone throughout the conversation is loving and supportive. The idea of this discussion is to have an honest conversation in a friendly setting.
Spend Time Together
Take out at least 30 minutes every day for a week to discuss about personal histories and things that caused the most amazing and difficult situation. Give each other 15 minutes a day. Ask each other at least three questions. If your husband finds it difficult to open up despite this exercise, reassure him about what marriage is all about. Tell him why it is important to talk out things that have been piling up in the back of his mind.
Make the Bedroom a Happier Place
Now that your husband knows almost everything that is about sex, there is a remote chance he is expecting something new. Suggest things you want to try in the bedroom and ask him for suggestions. If you feel uncomfortable at the thought of doing something that he wants, let him know, but reassure that you will keep it in mind and that he shouldn’t hesitate giving more ideas.
