Riteish Deshmukh’s much-awaited film Banjo’s first song was released amidst much fanfare in the city of dreams Mumbai. The actor, who will be seen portraying the role of a rockstar, promoted the song himself along with his team across the city.
The ‘Bappa’ song is out now and it looks like the masses will get a whole new song dedicated to Lord Ganesha this Ganesh Chaturthi. The video sees festivities in full swing with Riteish taking the centre stage with his rock star act. The actor did not leave any stone unturned to make his performance larger than life. National Award-winning Marathi director Ravi Jadhav, who makes his Bollywood debut with this film, has lent the subject a local flavour that he is known for, while Vishal-Shekhar have composed the soundtrack.
Riteish previously shared that the project is close to his heart because of his unique role. Talking about his character, he elaborated, “I play a street musician. This may be the first Hindi mainstream film that focuses on a banjo band and their journey.” Nargis adds, “When I heard the narration, I realised that it’s one of those stories which touches your heart.”
