Vivo V5 and V5 Plus smartphones will launch in India today. The highlight of the smartphones is 20MP selfie camera which comes with Moonlight flash. Vivo V5 and V5 Plus are successors to company’s V3 and V3 Max announced in April. Vivo has already sent out media invites for the launch event. According to Phoneradar, both V5 and V5 Plus will feature a similar metal unibody design and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS.

Vivo V5 is said to feature a 5.5-inch HD display (1280 x 720 pixels). The V5 will be powered by 1.8GHz Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM (expandable upto 128GB via microSD card). The home button is Vivo V5 will double up as a fingerprint scanner. The dual-SIM device will be backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
Vivo V5 will support 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GLONASS, and GPS. The device weighs 154 grams. Sensors on V5 include Accelerometer, Proximity, Light and E-compass sensor. The smartphone will be available in rose gold and gold colour varaints. Vivo V5 Plus is expected to come with similar specificatiosn expect for a better display and a bigger battery. While specific price of the two devices is unknown; we could expect Vivo V5 to be priced under Rs 20,000 and V5 Plus to cost close to Rs 25,000.

Vivo V3 and V3 Max were launched at Rs 17,980 and Rs 23,980 respectively. The smartphones feature a metal uni body design and have rear fingerprint scanner. Vivo has also added Hi-fi music to both the smartphones. Vivo V3 comes with a 5-inch HD display, an octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor, 3GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. Vivo V3Max features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 processor. There’s 4GB RAM and 32GB storage that is further expandable to 128GB. Both the devices come with 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.
