Virbhadra Singh: No chance of early polls

He termed the BJP’s apprehensions about “advancing” the state Assembly polls as “wishful thinking.”Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh Thursday dismissed reports about “early” Assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh and said the BJP should worry about its own future as the Congress could rock the party’s boat once again in 2017.
He termed the BJP’s apprehensions about “advancing” the state Assembly polls as “wishful thinking.” The poll would be held as scheduled, the Chief Minister said.
A day before setting out on his tour of Solan and Kangra districts, Virbhadra Singh alleged that every day the BJP was coming up with new speculation and talks about forming the next government in the state. Rumour mongering would not work, said Virabhadra.“The BJP can’t dismiss me from power. It’s the public that made him Chief Minister for the sixth time in 2012 – when the BJP was trying to finish me politically. I am not bothered what the BJP is saying about my fate. The Congress has expanded its base and it’s the BJP that has to put its house in order first when thinking of power,” Virbhadra Singh said, referring to to state BJP president Satpal Satti’s recent statements.
Satti had claimed that the BJP was on a “comeback trail” in the state and would send the Congress packing in 2017, also claiming possibility of early polls because of “panic” in the Chief Minister’s camp.
The CM said Satti should stop daydreaming about BJP’s return to power.
