The image of the new Rs 1000 note has “specimen” printed over it. With the issues being faced, owing to lack of notes with smaller denomination, the people of India are eagerly waiting for the arrival of the new 1000 rupee note in the market.While some of the people on the micro-blogging site are expressing gladness, thinking that the new 1000 rupee note will soon be in use, some others are rejecting the picture as fake. The picture is also apparently being circulated on Whatsapp.
Some are also asking the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RBI on Twitter if this is how the new 1000 rupee note will look. With banks and ATMs running out of cash, many people across the country have been expressing their inconvenience in running the day-to-day lives.
The scarcity of 100 rupee notes has led to most of the ATMs releasing 2000 rupee note. And when people get lucky to grab the 2000 rupee note, they have been facing problems in receiving change against the big denomination.
The PM had announced on November 8, 2016 at 8 pm that all existing 500 and 1000 rupee notes will be banned after the midnight. This attempt to curb black money has been receiving mixed response across the country.While some have been slamming the government for taking the step without proper arrangement to ease inconvenience for the commoners, some others have been expressing support for the PM in the endeavour.
