A man who was stabbed shortly after midnight Tuesday wound up in police cells overnight. RCMP responded around 12:15 a.m. to a report of a male stabbed near 12th Avenue on the North Shore. When they arrived they found the man, 30, with a 7-10 cm gash on his cheek. He was uncooperative with officers and would not say how he received the injury. He was taken to RIH, stitched up and released.

Meanwhile, police found there was a warrant for the man’s arrest. He was arrested for failing to comply with conditions and held in custody overnight to appear in court Thursday.
