A small van has crashed onto train tracks in Brisbane’s south. Emergency crews were called to Fairfield Road near Cardross Street at Yeronga to reports a woman had crashed through a fence and onto train tracks just before 1pm.
The woman was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with shoulder and leg injuries.
The crash initially caused the suspension of trains in both directions however all trains resumed in both directions as at 1.30pm, a Queensland Rail spokesperson said.
“In total, four services were impacted with delays ranging from six and 14 minutes,” they said.
Fairfield Road is closed inbound near the intersection of Tennyson Memorial Avenue as emergency crews work to remove the van from the tracks, police said.
