Archana Vijaya is a model and television presenter. She started her career after winning the 1st Supermodel Reality TV show Get Gorgeous season 1 by Channel [V]. Since then she has modeled for various Fashion brands with all the leading designers – Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Bal, Narendra Kumar, Sabyasachi, Manish Mahlotra to name a few. She has presented the very popular cricket show IPL season 5. Recently, Archana Vijaya was seen as one of the contestants in stunt based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi season 6.
Archana Vijaya was born on 17 November 1982 in Kolkata. She completed her studies from University of Kolkata. After that she went to Mumbai to try her luck in modeling. The show ‘Get Gorgeous’ which was held in 2004 was the turning point in her life.
The sixth season of Khatron Ke Khiladi was hosted by Rohit Shetty. IPL host Archana Vijaya, who proved her dancing skills in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, was also seen as one of the contestant in Khatron Ke Khiladi season 6.
Archana Vijaya has been dating Delhi-based businessman Dheeraj Puri for last two years, got engaged to him in Dubai. She said, “I met Dheeraj at a friend’s wedding two years ago. We were dating, but I did not want to talk about it. I had not thought about marriage at all. But when he proposed, I accepted. He is a kind and charming man and comes from a good family.”
Her career started in 2004, when she won a supermodel hunt Get Gorgeous season 1 on channel V. She is self confessed travel junkie and got the opportunity to host travel shows like Freedom Express 1 and 2, where she was traveling through India by train. Since traveling has been a constant companion on her “ride”, Neo Cricket, asked her to host “Tour Diary”, a travel show where she was traveling with the Indian Cricket Team and the visiting team to their various playing destinations. In 2010, she was approached to get back to Get Gorgeous 6 as Mentor. In 2011, she hosted IPL season 4, which opened up many new doors. Apart from that Archana also participated in reality show called “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5”.
