A 1-year-old infant was injured late Sunday night in a drive-by shooting in Port Richey. According to Pasco County deputies, multiple shots were fired at a home in the 7300 block of Westcott Drive around 11:30 p.m.

Deputies say one of the bullets entered front bedroom, where the infant girl was sleeping, and struck her wrist.

The infant was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries, deputies say.

Deputies say the shooting does not appear to be random, and the infant’s mother is a documented gang member. An investigation continues.
