A two-year-old boy has drowned in a water tank in Queensland’s Lockyer Valley. The toddler’s family members raised the alarm with police about 11am on Friday when they couldn’t find him on the property at Helidon Spa, about 100km west of Brisbane.

The boy was found in a water tank and despite the efforts of paramedics who performed CPR couldn’t be saved.

A police spokeswoman said there were no suspicious circumstances and it was “a terrible accident”.
