About 12 Kms from Son Prayag enroute Gaurikund Kedarnath is a place which has a special significance in mythology. A small ancient temple located in the Triyugi Narayan village of Uttarakhand is not just any regular Hindu temple here. It is the place where the holy marriage between Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati was sanctified in the presence of Lord Vishnu & Brahma.
A special feature of Triyugi Narayan temple is a perpetual fire that burns in its premises. It is believed to be burning from the time of the divine wedlock. Owing to this, the temple is also known as Akhand Dhuni temple.
Lord Vishnu completed all the formalities of a brother in the presence of Lord Brhama, during the wedding ceremony.
