A seven-year-old boy and a man believed to be in his 20s are in hospital following a shooting in Oshawa late Thursday. The boy was hit by a stray bullet while he was inside a residence while the man was shot outside a townhouse, Durham Regional Police said.
The man was targeted in the shooting just before 11 p.m. on Colborne St., police said.
The boy was shot in the buttocks and the man was hit in the abdomen and neither injury is considered life-threatening.
Police have not indicated if the two victims knew each other. No arrest has been made and police have not issued a suspect description as they canvass the neighbourhood for information.
