A fight over a boy led to the death of a 15-year-old girl at Howard High School of Technology in Delaware, according to reports. The sophomore was fighting another girl in the school bathroom when she hit her head on a sink and lost consciousness, according to 6ABC.com.
Classes have been cancelled for the rest of the day at the school. Authorities were called to the high school Thursday at 8:18 a.m. for the assault,
The girl was flown to A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children in critical condition after the incident and was later pronounced dead at the hospital, the reports said.
Wilmington Police Department detectives are interviewing students about the incident. Police told Delawareonline.com that no one outside of the school was involved in the assault.
