Three teenage boys have been taken into custody after their hour-long dangerous joyride through Brisbane and Logan came to an abrupt end on Monday. An alleged stolen vehicle sped past police on Hickory Street at Crestmead just after 12.30pm.
Police did not chase the car on th eground but dispatched the Polair helicopter to track the car from above and co-ordinate with police officers on the ground.
The teens allegedly sped through red lights, drove along the wrong side of the road and careened down a footpath before a police deployed a tyre deflation device and stopped the vehicle on Wallum Drive at Parkinson just before 2pm. A 16-year-old and two 14-year-oldswere taken into custody
