An 11-year-old boy has died in an accident on his family farm near Busselton. A police spokeswoman confirmed they were investigating.  “We are aware of the incident and we will be preparing a report for the coroner,” Acting Sergeant Barbara Crane told WAtoday.

It’s understood the boy, his 14-year-old brother and their father were using a tractor to move rocks on their hobby farm on Tuesday afternoon when the accident occurred.

The boys were being carried in the tractor’s heavy metal bucket when the bucket separated from the tractor and crushed the boys.

The younger boy was taken to Busselton Regional Hospital where we was pronounced dead.

The older boy was flown to Perth and treated at Princess Margaret Hospital. It’s understood he has since been released and is back with his family.
