Teen arrested over damaged grave sites at Midland cemetery in Perth’s east

Three boys aged between 10 and 11 have been arrested after about 70 grave sites at the Midland Cemetery in Perth’s east were damaged. Police allege the boys smashed glass panels in head stones and vases at the site on Morrison Road in Swan View on Friday afternoon.

Damage is estimated at several thousand dollars.

An 11-year-old Swan View boy has been charged with two counts of criminal damage and one each of trespass and disorderly behaviour.

He is due to face court on Monday.

An Midvale boy, 11, and a Swan View boy, 10, are facing a criminal damage charge.

They are expected to appear in court next month.
