Shares of Tata Motors today rose by nearly 4 per cent after the company reported an 8 per cent growth in sales in June.
The stock climbed 3.69 per cent to Rs 474.80 on BSE.
At NSE, shares of the company went up 3.7 per cent to Rs 474.85.
The sales figures were announced post market hours on Friday.
Tata Motors reported an 8 per cent growth in sales at 44,276 units in June. The company had sold 40,869 in the same month last year.
Domestic sales of Tata Motors’ commercial and passenger vehicles rose 8 per cent to 38,673 units in June over the same month of the previous year.
Sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market stood at 12,509 units last month, as against 10,281 in the year-ago period, Tata Motors had said in a statement.
As for passenger cars, the sales grew 37 per cent to 11,705 units in June, compared with 8,516 in the year-ago period.
