Tata Motors   reported a 5 percent rise in global sales at 81,333 units in April, including that of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles. The company had sold 77,701 units in April 2015, Tata Motors said in a regulatory filing. In the passenger vehicles category, global sales stood at 51,749 units last month as against 51,021 units in April 2015, up 1 percent. Sales of luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover rose marginally to 40,933 units last month as compared to 40,665 units in April 2015. The company’s sales of commercial vehicles in April was up by 11 percent to 29,584 units from 26,680 units a year ago.
