A day after forming a regional political outfit, the Swaraj Party said today that AAP MPs Dr Dharamvira Gandhi and Harinder Singh Khalsa had only sent their “good wishes” to the new party. In a press release, party president Prof Manjit Singh said Dr Gandhi sent a letter in support of their efforts for clean and pro-people politics. Similarly, Khalsa’s message in favour of the initiative for alternative politics was read out at yesterday’s convention. In a separate statement, Khalsa said he did sign on a note prepared by Prof Manjit Singh, wishing him well for the convention. “But nowhere was there any mention of forming a party and my support for it or solidarity with the people behind it. What they have done is not correct and is unethical, to say the least,” said Khalsa.
