An apparent machete attack at a karaoke bar in North York sent three people to hospital overnight. Police say the incident happened Monday after a man tried to take liquor from a bar near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue at around 1 a.m., before he was stopped by staff.
The man then allegedly went back to his vehicle where he armed himself with a machete. Toronto police say he then returned to the bar and attacked three people.
One person was slashed in the stomach, a second person was struck in the head and a third person was slashed in the hand, according to police.
The victims initially transported themselves to hospital, but the victim with a head injury was rushed to a trauma centre by paramedics.
Police say none of the injuries are considered life-threatening.
Investigators are still looking for the man behind the alleged machete attack.
