Anti-Sikhism is in the DNA of the Congress, especially the Gandhi family: Sukhbir Singh BadalSAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday dared Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Capt Amarinder Singh to bring Congress leaders Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar to campaign for the party in Punjab “if [Congress vice-president] Rahul Gandhi cannot keep these elements at a distance”.“The Congress has once again shown its true colours by catapulting guilty men of 1984 to the centre stage. Its vice-president Rahul Gandhi is flanked by Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar on his right and left suggesting he himself endorses what they had done 32 years ago,” he said.
Sukhbir’s advisor Manjinder Singh Sirsa said it was ironical that Rahul was accompanied by Congress leader Sajjan Kumar during the protest on the OROP issue (following suicide by an ex-serviceman) and Tytler was present in a meeting chaired by Rahul and attended by Punjab Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh.
In a statement, Sukhbir said, “Anti-Sikhism is in the DNA of the Congress, especially the Gandhi family.”
“Otherwise what is the rationale of keeping Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar on his right-side? Obviously, Congress still threatens the Sikhs through these goons who are thriving under Congress patronage by circumventing the judicial process. If the Congress really felt grieved, it should have at least kept itself at an arm’s length from such elements,” said Sukhbir.
