Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) activists, led by mandal coordinator Dr Makhan Singh, today protested against the Central and state government’s “anti-people policies” outside District Administrative Complex here.
Raising slogans, they held them responsible for unemployment, price rise and deteriorating law and order. Dr Makhan Singh alleged the SAD-BJP government had been committing atrocities on people, especially Dalits. He said in the Badal’s regime, education and health services had taken a back seat due to which the poor had been suffering.
He condemned the registration of cases against the Dalits who had been agitating for getting lands reserved for SCs at low rates. Dr Singh and other BSP leaders said if the BSP was voted to power in 2017 it would provide people rule of law in which every resident of the state would feel secure and get all types of facilities without any discrimination.
