A skateboarder has died after falling onto a road while holding on to the back of a moving car in Perth’s north. The 23-year-old was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with critical head injuries after Saturday’s accident, but died today as a result of those injuries.

Police said the 25-year-old driver of a maroon coloured Toyota Camry noticed the skateboarder holding on to the back of his car on Healthfield Drive in Landsdale about 3.45pm on Saturday and stopped after seeing the man fall.

The motorist is helping police with their inquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw the car or the skateboarder in the lead up to the crash is urged to contact police.
