In an unfortunate car accident, Pakistan’s best striker of the Women’s Football Team, Shahlyla Ahmadzai Baloch passed away in Karachi recently. According to reports, the accident occurred on the 12th of October in Defence Phase 8 and Shahlyla passed away soon after on Wednesday night.
Baloch was seated on the passenger seat during the accident and it was unfortunate car slid that led to the driver losing control of the vehicle.
Baloch belonged to a family of sport persons where her mother, Senator Rubina Irfan was the chairperson of the Pakistan Football Federation Women’s Wing. Being one of the most active mebers in the team, Baloch dedication towards the sport helped the women’s football team gain immense momentum in the country.
In-spite of her many accomplishments, Baloch was accused of staging a group exit as her sister, Raheela Zarmain was the manager of the football team and her mother, Rubina Irfan was associated with the wing. Accused of staging Pakistan’s group exit at the SAFF Women’s Championship, the Baloch family was fighting all accusations.
Having earned immense recognition in the country, Shahlyla’s death is viewed as one of the greatest tragedies for the country!
