Shares ended lower on Tuesday, snapping a four-day rally, as sentiment stayed cautious ahead of policy meetings by the Federal Reserve and the Bank of Japan later this week.
4pm: The BSE Sensex fell 0.39% to 28,523.20, having risen as much as 0.22% earlier in the session; the Nifty closed 0.37% down at 8,775.90.
2:30pm: BSE Sensex is trading lower by 125.31 points, or 0.44%, to 28,509.19, while the Nifty falls 38.70 points, or 0.44%, to 8,769.70.
2:20pm: Gammon India Ltd rises 3.5% to Rs.17.65 after the company said in a notice to BSE that it seeking shareholders nod to sell up to 75% of Gammon Engineers.
2:10pm: Reliance Infrastructure Ltd rises 0.8% to Rs.599.70. According to news report, the company has applied to Securities Exchange Board of India (Sebi) for Infrastructure investment trust.
1:55pm: Housing finance companies are trading lower. Repco Home Finance Ltd falls 4%, Housing Development Finance Corp Ltd falls 1%, Gruh Finance Ltd 0.5%, Indiabulls Housing Finance falls 0.5%, LIC Housing Finance Ltd 1.3%, Can Fin Homes Ltd falls 1.3%.
1:45pm: Tata Steel Ltd rises 1.7% to Rs.367.80. Tata Steel will pay out a total Rs.130 crore as annual bonus to its eligible employees for the year 2015-16. A Memorandum of Settlement was signed today between Tata Steel and the Tata Workers’ Union, for Annual Bonus for 2015-2016.
1:35pm: Rating firms are trading higher. Credit Analysis and Research Ltd rises 5.4%, Icra Ltd rises 1.1%, Crisil Ltd rises 0.7%.

1:15pm: Den Networks Ltd rises 7.2% to Rs.84 after the company said in a notice to BSE that its board approved issuing 15.80 million shares to Goldman Sachs group arm atRs.90 a share. Goldman Sachs arm to increase stake in the company to 24.5% from 17.8%.
1:05pm: Tata Motors Ltd falls 0.8% to Rs.547.65. The stock fell seven out of nine trading sessions and down 7% in this period. So far this year it gained 40.32%.

Radha, a 22-year IT industry veteran, took over as the head of Mindtree’s digital business last year and prior to that headed the firm’s CPG (consumer packaged goods), retail and manufacturing vertical.

11:10am: Infosys Ltd falls 1% to Rs.1,050.30. Infosys chief executive Vishal Sikka saw the exit of the seventh key executive in Sanjay Purohit, since he took over as the boss of India’s second largest software exporter.

10:20am: Bharat Rasayan Ltd rises 12% to Rs.1,700 after the company said it reported a net profit of Rs.14.52 crore in June quarter, up 76.45% from Rs.8.23 crore a year ago. Net sales rose 46% to Rs.166.25 crore.

9:35am: Jubilant FoodWork Ltd falls 6.5% to Rs.940 after the company said its CEO and whole-time director Ajay Kaul will resign to pursue opportunities outside the company. Jubilant FoodWorks, which operates Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin’ Donuts outlets in India, said it has initiated the process of identifying his successor.
