Pakistan have won the toss and chosen to bat in the second ODI of the Royal London series at Lord’s.

They have made three changes to the side that lost the first ODI. Mohammad Hafeez has been replaced by Sami Aslam, Mohammad Nawaz has been replaced by Yasir Shah and Umar Gul has been replaced by Hasan Ali, who will be playing just his second ODI.

Hafeez is suggesting he has a knee problem that may force him home early, though it may well be that the most significant injury is to his pride.

Mohammad Amir has a minor calf problem but has been deemed fit to play. Gul is fit but has been dropped.

England are unchanged.

The pitch is fresh and has a covering of green grass. But it is expected to be true and pretty dry.

England are unbeaten in ODIs this summer and won the first game in this five-match series in Southampton on Wednesday. But they haven’t won an ODI at Lord’s since 2012.

England 1 Alex Hales, 2 Jason Roy, 3 Joe Root, 4 Eoin Morgan (capt), 5 Ben Stokes, 6 Jos Buttler (wk), 7 Moeen Ali, 8 Chris Woakes, 9 Adil Rashid, 10 Liam Plunkett, 11 Mark Wood

Pakistan,/B> 1 Sharjeel Khan, 2 Azhar Ali (capt), 3 Sami Aslam, 4 Babar Azam, 5 Shoaib Malik, 6 Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), 7 Imad Wasim, 8 Wahab Riaz, 9 Hasan Ali, 10 Yasir Shah, 11 Mohammad Amir

At long last, England have let Woakes open the bowling, and look at the rewards! I said before he’s one of the best opening bowlers around now. He gets good movement at pace with the new ball, but tends to go astray with the old ball. If his body’s up to it, personally I’d let Woakes bowl his full 10 straight through when he’s in such great form like this. Still got my doubts over playing Stokes in this team.

Aslam looked out to me. Noise at the precise instant the ball was adjacent to the glove. I don’t see what else it could have been. Also I thought I saw a tiny mark on hotspot on the same glove.

PS: We got more runs than wickets fallen now. Woo-hoo…. Deserve to be in the second tier in this format. Absolute disgrace. Time to move on and watch something else.

Pakistan 3/3, England bowling wicket maidens like they grow on trees, and Pakistan in real trouble. Quailty bowling from Woakes and Wood.

Shame on inzi for selecting such. Dummy team.

One has to say, that decision for Babar in the first game, and now for Sami Aslam is just appalling. Even Atherton and N Hussein don’t agree with it. The ball looked away from the glove and didn’t deviate in it’s flight path either. Since PK ODI team is already struggling, can’t fight with the umpire reviews as well. Ridiculous that could be given out. If that was the other way around, PK would have lost a review. I don’t think anyone can argue with that. Bad decision to bat first, too. Oh, well, 2-0 here we come.

Pakistan team is so horrible in shorter formats specially in one day matches. They need to be step up as they are no.1 test team side( I bet they will be there for only two months until India takes that number 1 spot from them). Their players are very inconsistent and always let rheir country down. in shorter formats I bet they can’t even beat Zimbabwe or Bangladesh( Bangladesh has defeated Pak recently in couple of matches). So common man be like a no 1 team like India and give ur fans a time of joy. From an Indian fan

I think yasir should have come instead of Imaad as Nawaz looks more better bowler than him. both are similar type of players. Harsh decision for Sami Aslam. Might not have enough to overturn that. Sharjeel will more often fail against proper fast bowlers.
