Two people whose vehicle became bogged on a four-wheel drive track near Perth, sparking a land an air search, have been helped to safety by fellow travellers.
The man and woman were travelling along the Captain Fawcett track near Dwellingup, more than 100 kilometres south of Perth, when their vehicle became bogged on Friday.
They made a triple-0 call for help about 1:00pm to say they were stranded.
An aerial search was launched for the pair on Saturday morning, while police and SES volunteers in four-wheel drive vehicles took part on the ground.
However police said the pair had received help to resume their journey from other travellers using the track, and no longer required assistance.
The search has been called off. The area around Dwellingup was earlier covered by a severe weather warning for damaging winds.
