Saskatchewan RCMP are investigating the death of a woman at a residence on the Cote First Nation, which is about 90 kilometres northeast of Yorkton. Kamsack RCMP said they were called to a home on the First Nation on Aug. 13 at 6:45 a.m. CST. When police arrived, they found the body of a 20-year-old woman from the community.

As of Monday morning, Kamsack RCMP were still on the scene.

RCMP also called in support from the Major Crimes Unit South, Yorkton General Investigative Section, Yorkton Forensic Identification Section, and the Office of the Chief Coroner.

An autopsy was scheduled for today at Pasqua Hospital in Regina.

No other details have been released at this time.
