YouTube has rolled out an update for its Android and iOS apps. The update introduces a revamped home tab and other UI tweaks. Along with this, both the apps are also getting a visual overhaul for homefeed.
Users will now be able to see larger thumbnails for recommended videos, which are curated on the basis of ‘deep neural networks’. Google claims the technlogy “can find patterns automatically and keep learning and improving as it goes.”To provide better recommendations,YouTube will now go through the user’s subscriptions and history through machine learning systems.

The company claims that the makeover will make it easier for users to discover content on YouTube. In its official blog post, Brian Marquardt and Todd Beaupre, product managers, said, “One of the biggest improvements is how the system suggests more recent videos and those from the creators you love. People who have tried the new system have spent more time watching fresh videos and content from their Subscriptions.”

Recently, YouTube launched its gaming app in India for both Android and iOS users. Called Twitch, the app enables users to stream the content they are playing. Moreover, the users can also turn on the selfie camera and record their commentary while playing.
