Rangers have arrested as many as three terrorists from different parts of Karachi, reported on Monday. Rangers personnel on a tip off received about the presence of criminal elements, conducted a raid in Kharadar and Kiamari Town and arrested at least three militants belonging to banned outfit.
The officers have also confiscated huge cache of weapons from the possession of the detainees.
The Rangers as well as the police have been engaged in a three-year long anti-militant and crime operation the volatile city of around 20 million and come under attack by militants and criminals gangs frequently.
The paramilitary Rangers have been based in the city since the mid-nineties and have been an active part of the recent anti-violence campaign. Many in the police say the operation so far has been a success because murders and extortion complaints have fallen.
