Raaz Reboot, featuring Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda and Gaurav Arora opened with a collection of Rs 6.30 crore. Despite receiving mixed reviews from the viewers and critics alike, Vikram Bhatt’s horror flick did a good business in single screens and mass circuits. Still the film was able to gain better numbers, unlike the expectations. On Saturday, the film earned Rs Rs 5.49 crore, while on Sunday the collections were Rs 6.30 crore, making a total of Rs 18.09 crore.
Director Vikram Bhatt has chosen deep, dark forests and other exotic locales in Romania as the setting of this horror film.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Raaz Reboot’s latest box office numbers on Twitter and wrote, “#RaazReboot doesn’t witness growth on Sun… Single screens better… Fri 6.30 cr, Sat 5.49 cr, Sun 6.30 cr. Total: ₹ 18.09 cr. India biz.”
In a recent interview, director Vikram, whose past few films Creature 3D, Mr. X and Love Games bombed at the box office, said that the society is failure phobic. “I feel it’s okay if your past few films didn’t work. Sometimes, ideas work and sometimes they don’t. I think we are just a failure phobic society. We do everything to make sure we don’t fail, but the only way to not fail is not to make a movie,” said Vikram.
“I have always tried to do something different. I am trying to give something new to the audience all the time. They might like it or not like it, but you can’t doubt my intentions,” he added.
