Punjab students grab top 3 positions in intermediate exams

Students of Punjab Group of Colleges on Saturday secured top positions in Intermediate Annual Examination 2016 results. Brilliant student Aqsa Sadiq belonging to Burewala topped in pre-medical while overall 18 positions in different groups were also grabbed by Punjab College students.

A total of 1,49,276 students appeared in the annual examination among which only 90,827 were declared victorious whereas the pass percentage of the exams was recorded as 60.85.

A ceremony was held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal in Lahore in which education minister Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan distributed prizes among the position holders.

On the other hand, Punjab College students bagged 22 seats out of 33 in Faisalabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary examination 2016.

As many as 82,178 candidates were enrolled in the exams while only 47,681 became successful with the passing percentage 58.2.

Toba Tek Singh’s Umar Maqbool stood on first position with 1044 marks while Gojra’s Asma Batool was placed on second position with 1036 marks. The third slot was taken by Mahnoor Umar with 1034 marks.
