Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf played the role of Fatehullah Gulen by not attending the joint parliament session where Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed.
PTI had announced to boycott parliament’s joint session earlier this week, saying that the party does not consider Nawaz Sharif prime minister of Pakistan.
PTI’s decision was criticised by various circles as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was due to address the session.
Khursheed Shah also criticised the PTI’s decision, saying that the issue was not related to Nawaz Sharif, it was a matter between Pakistan and Turkey.
He further said that PTI should have attended the session.
