The actress took to Instagram to post her ‘braless’ picture. She captioned the photo, “Because wearing a visible #bra would be indecent. #FreeTheNipple.” She earlier posted, “The censor board wants to delete a scene because Katrina’s bra is showing in it. Apparently, our innerwear is not sanskaari enough hence going sans it. I’m traditional like that.”
Baar Baar Dekho starring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif has been granted a ‘UA’ certificate by Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) with two cuts. CBFC has asked the makers of Baar Baar Dekho to remove a ‘bra’ scene as well as a reference to ‘Savita bhabhi’.
Many took to Twitter to share their hilarious inputs on CBFC’s silly decision. This is not the first time when CBFC interfered in a creative process by indulging in moral policing. The board has created enough controversy with films including Black Friday, Spectre, Udta Punjab, Aligarh and many more.
In February this year, social media exploded in outrage over CBFC’s decision to release the trailer of Aligarh with an ‘A’ certification. The movie, directed by Hansal Mehta, is based on the true story of AMU professor Dr Ramchandra Siras and the witch hunt against him due to his sexual orientation. It eventually released with cuts recommended by the censor board.
