ACT Policing are searching for a man who fled custody while undergoing hospital treatment in Canberra’s south this afternoon. Ned Barker, 26, was last seen at Canberra Hospital at 2.15pm where he fled the custody of ACT Corrective Services.
He was facing charges relating to theft, damage of property and assault.
Police said people should not approach Barker but should call police if they know of his whereabouts.
Barker is described as being approximately 172 centimetres tall with a medium build, short-brown hair and a tanned complexion.
He was wearing a grey top, black shorts and thongs.
