A man was arrested overnight in downtown Montreal while driving an SUV with one wheel missing. Montreal police came across the SUV on Robert Bourassa Boulevard, just north of René-Lévesque Boulevard.

Officers pursued the driver, who drove away in the SUV. Police say the vehicle was stolen. The SUV eventually came to a stop a few blocks away when the wheel rim broke.

The man was taken into custody by police. He is expected to be questioned later this morning. He faces impaired driving charges and refused to submit to a drug test, according to police.
