The air pollution in Delhi has reached an alarming level as the national capital is engulfed by a thick cloud of smog, be it dawn or midnight.

Five days after Diwali, Delhi is dubbed as a ‘toxic gas chamber’ by its residents. But it is not the first times the city has witnessed such poor air quality, but the last three years have been particularly bad.

On Thursday, several people were injured after more than 20 vehicles piled-up on Yamuna Epressway due to dense fog.
While there’s no denial that the air quality of Delhi is egregiously bad, these before-after pictures of the city show why it has fittingly being called a gas chamber.
