Party won’t change any candidate: Jarnail Singh

AAP’s Punjab affairs co-incharge Jarnail Singh made it clear today that the party won’t change any candidate announced so far for the upcoming Assembly elections in state. He was here to address a public rally this evening in the favour of party’s Malout candidate Baldev Singh Azad.
Jarnail Singh said, “In some constituencies we had 10 or more good people, but the ticket had to be given to just one. No candidate will be changed unless he or she is found involved into any wrongdoing.” He said those who had come just for the tickets had already been shown the exit door by AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal. “All 117 candidates in Punjab will be Punjabis and belonging to the state,” he said.
Further, replying to a query about Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal asking AAP to list its achievements, Jarnail Singh said, “They must tell their single achievement. Did anyone from Badal family sacrifice his life during the anti-Sikh riots?”
During his address, he said “If the Badals make the state debt free by clearing all the dues from their personal property, arrest those behind the sacrilege incidents, save Punjab’s river water from other states and send Bikram Majithia to jail, then only the people of state can forgive them,” he said.
He also criticised the SAD-BJP government for its claim of being ‘Panthic’ government. “We are implementing the Anand Marriage Act in Delhi from this week. We have even named a flyover after Baba Banda Singh Bahadur in Delhi. Besides, we have introduced Punjabi in all government schools in Delhi,” he said.
