Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ally Shiv Sena did not miss a chance to attack Munde over her selfie. “It is unfortunate that a minister went and clicked selfies in drought-hit Latur,” Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande said.
Earlier, Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Eknath Khadse was also in the firing line after reports claimed that 10 thousand litres of water was wasted in creating a helipad for him in Latur. However, he dismissed the reports and asserted that “very little” water was used for making the helipad in Belkund. He added that the issue was being blown out of proportion.
Latur, severely hit by drought in Marathwada, now depends on water trains with 15 lakh litres till now transported from the Krishna River.
