Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan Syed Hyder Shah along with first secretary met ailing Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik at Delhi Fortis Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
Shah enquired about the health of Malik and also delivered message of good wishes from the government of Pakistan, said a JKLF spokesperson, in a statement issued here on Thursday.
Shah also delivered a letter from the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he said.
“The letter has been written in response to JKLF chairman’s letter to Pakistani prime minister on 12th January 2016 in which Malik had asked Pakistan to refrain from changing the status of Gilgit -Baltistan as it would harm Jammu Kashmir issue,” he said.
In his reply, he added, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has assured the JKLF chairman that there was no such plan.
Malik is admitted in Fortis Hospital in New Delhi and doctors are examining his health and so-far he has gone through various medical tests, said the spokesman.
