Saskatchewan RCMP and members of the provincial Internet Child Exploitation unit have arrested and charged a man in Meadow Lake with several child porn offences that have connections to Southend, Sask. and Colorado.

The 23-year-old man is charged with 11 offences, including four counts of luring, one count of making child pornography, two counts of possessing child pornography, one count of distributing child porn, two counts of making explicit sexual material available to a child and one count of sexual interference.

Both children connected with the case are believed to be under 14 years of age, according to a news release. Some of the offences have been ongoing since 2012.

Police say one of the victims is from Southend, Sask. and the other is from Colorado.

The release also said that police members were searching a residence in Meadow Lake on Thursday, related to their investigation of the case. It was during that search that they arrested and charged the 23-year-old man.

RCMP and the Saskatchewan ICE unit started investigating the case in August 2015. They have been working with the Estes Park Police Department in Colorado State. The accused man’s name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victims. He’s on remand and will appear in Meadow Lake provincial court on Monday.
