In the wake of demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 100 notes, cab aggregator Ola has launched Ola Credit, a postpaid service wherein, commuters can book cabs/autorickshaws for seven days without having to pay cash right after the ride.
Citizens can pay Ola through netbanking, debit or credit cards in the Ola Money e-wallet. All that one needs to do is select the Ola Credit icon in the payment option in the app while booking a ri de. A user can avail cashless rides based on their usage and settle dues as per convenience in a week. The seven-day credit cycle begins from the date of first credit ride. A customer will be able to clear dues using Ol a Money within the credit period. Ola is extending credit to users on a select basis, based on customer’s transaction history.
Raghuvesh Sarup, chief marketing officer and category head at Ola, said: “Ola Credit aims to keep India moving towards a cashless economy.”
