In between all his film shoots, Gautham Menon has also found time to shoot a series of conversations he is having with celebrities. Karan Johar had Koffee with Karan which was made for television but in Gautham Menon’s case he is doing something different – he is producing a web series. Also, Karan Johar’s show had a fixed format whereas Gautham Menon has done away with all that.
His production house Ondraga will be presenting Uraiyaadal and stuff. This is not a talk show but a free-flowing conversation between Gautham Menon and the celebrity. So they will be talking about anything and everything under the sun from films to philosophy and food and more.
The director will be seen chatting with people we have come to like and admire and want to know more about. These conversations will be in English and Tamil and other languages.
They are meant for a pan-Indian audience. The show kicks off with actor Dhanush speaking his mind and maybe even pouring out his heart. The first episode was filmed to be featured online on the Ondraga YouTube channel. Vijay TV has now premiered this particular episode as a special programme on the 14th of April, Tamil New Year.
This series, made for a web exclusive format, will premiere online with the Dhanush episode 6th of April. This is not a talk show or an interview, there is no structured format. It is just conversations, says Gautham Menon.
Gautham Menon always likes to try new things and this web series will definitely be successful as it is a first-of-its-kind in South India by a director.
